Axel, the Court Magician

A character from my personal worldbuilding project, Elaios, and an important figure in its historical context.

He is more often credited for sowing deep distrust of magic than for prototyping the first primitive machines that would later lead to his country's industrial revolution as that work came after he committed regicide and accepted asylum in an enemy's court.
